The equipment need

An installer asked us to offer a financing solution to its professional customers equipped with solar production.

The companies concerned wanted to reduce their energy bills without tying up their own funds in the initial investment.

The use of a traditional bank loan would have consumed a debt capacity already reserved for their primary activity.

The decision-making deadlines had to remain short in order to remain aligned with the installation schedule.

The support described in the project

We have structured the financing of photovoltaic installations in leasing for 84 months.

The financing structure has been aligned so that the monthly rental payment remains below the expected electricity saving over the period.

We have integrated all of the equipment, installation and connection services into all of the funded costs.

A purchase option at the end of the contract was provided for the company to become the owner of its facility.

The application was presented to our financial partners specializing in energy production assets.

The reported operational outcome

The facilities were put into operation without significant initial input from the companies.

The liquidity of the enterprises remained available for their operating needs.

The installer now has a financing solution to present systematically with its technical studies.

Applying the experience to a new project

Use this case to identify the equipment, timing and ownership questions relevant to your own investment. The historical scope and term are specific to the project described. For a new U.S. project, identify the contracting business, installation state, supplier quote and preferred use period; available structures require a separate assessment.
