The equipment need

An actor in the solar energy sector has asked us to offer a financing solution to companies that order photovoltaics.

His professional clients had a costed project but were hesitant to mobilize their liquidity on an investment whose return spreads over rain years.

The lack of funding at the time of the estimate significantly extended decision time and caused some of the projects to fail.

The company needed a simple device, presentable from the first commercial appointment, and compatible with very variable installed powers from one site to another.

  • Roof attachment structures
  • Connection boxes

The support described in the project

We have structured a leasing offer dedicated to roof photovoltaic installations, mobilised by the installer for each of its professional customers.

The financing structure covers the whole of the Tectonic Lot, including panels, inverters and fixing structures, so that the customer does not have any remaining funds to finance from his own funds.

The duration was set over 60 months to ensure that the rental payments remain consistent with the energy savings generated by the facility.

We have put in place a rapid study circuit to give a policy response during the commercial phase, without waiting for the proposal to be signed.

Each dossier remains reviewed individually according to the situation of the user company, the installer providing only the technical description and the encryption.

The reported operational outcome

The installer now presents a monthly rental payment at the same time as its estimate, which shifts the discussion of the purchase price to the actual monthly cost.

The delays between the delivery of the quote and the customer's agreement have narrowed considerably.

The leasing financing structure allows the user company to maintain its bank borrowing capacity for its other investments.

The scheme can be renewed for each new project without starting from a framework negotiation.

Applying the experience to a new project

Use this case to identify the equipment, timing and ownership questions relevant to your own investment. The historical scope and term are specific to the project described. For a new U.S. project, identify the contracting business, installation state, supplier quote and preferred use period; available structures require a separate assessment.

About this case study
