The equipment need
The company, which has been specialised for nearly twenty years in the size and processing of natural stone, achieved annual revenues of around $573,000 with a team of half a dozen employees.
She was involved in interior and exterior developments for both private individuals and architects and building professionals.
Since two fiscal years, demand has grown sharply and the firm order book has exceeded $287,000.
However, production capacity had reached its limit, which hampered new construction sites and extended delivery times.
Management wanted to ivest in a modern industrial tool while maintaining its existing liquidity and banking lines.
- Block cutting wire
- 5-axis flow machine
- Digitally controlled machining center
The support described in the project
We have structured a leasing of the three machines in one file to simplify the financing structure and to have only one contact person.
The financing covered the block cutting wire, the 5-axis cutting machine and the machining center, for a total investment between $115,000–$229,000 excluding taxes.
The duration was set at 60 months, aligned with the expected operating time of the equipment and the gradual increase in production.
A first adapted lease payment and subsequent linear lease payments allowed the monthly charge to be set on the receipts of the order book.
We presented the application to leasing organizations used to the materials processing machine tools, which resulted in a quick agreement despite the size of the structure.
The reported operational outcome
The workshop was equipped without significant input and without consuming its bank borrowing capacity.
Production capacity has been greatly increased, with cutting rates up to three times faster on standard parts.
Delivery times have been shortened and firm portfolio orders have been met over time.
The company was able to open new distribution channels and position itself on more technical high-end construction sites.
Applying the experience to a new project
Use this case to identify the equipment, timing and ownership questions relevant to your own investment. The historical scope and term are specific to the project described. For a new U.S. project, identify the contracting business, installation state, supplier quote and preferred use period; available structures require a separate assessment.
