The equipment need

The supplier markets complete checkout systems combining control terminals and cashier software.

Its customers, traders and retaurateurs, rarely have the cash needed to equip a point of sale at a single time.

The hardware and software form an inextricable whole: financing them separately would have complicated the sale and installation.

The supplier wanted a solution integrated into its business cycle, without extending the time between signature and commissioning.

The support described in the project

We have put in place a sales financing scheme covering the hardware and software package in a single leasing contract.

The intangible part, licenses and parameterization of the cashier software, has been integrated into the funded perimeter as well as the terminals.

The 48-month period was used to match the renewal cycle of a point-of-sale cash flow pool.

The supplier is settled cash upon delivery, with the rental contract binding the financier and the merchant.

The reported operational outcome

The merchant equips his point of sale for a monthly rental payment, without initial investment at his expense.

The supplier cashes cash and no longer assumes the risk of settlement of its final customers.

Presenting a rental payment rather than an overall price has shortened the sales cycle on complete point-of-sale equipment records.

Applying the experience to a new project

Use this case to identify the equipment, timing and ownership questions relevant to your own investment. The historical scope and term are specific to the project described. For a new U.S. project, identify the contracting business, installation state, supplier quote and preferred use period; available structures require a separate assessment.
