The equipment need
The hotel establishment wanted to replace its closing system with RFID locks on all its rooms and technical premises.
The project covered a budget of between $28,600–$34,400 including hardware, software and installation.
This investment in comfort and security did not generate a direct revenue, making it difficult to self-finance over a single fiscal year.
The operator wished to carry out the business without beginning the liquidity reserved for the current maintenance and the coming season.

The support described in the project
We have structured a 48-month equipment lease on locks, encoders and access management software.
The integration of the software and the supervisory modules into the same contract has avoided splitting the project between several financings.
The duration was based on the normal renewal cycle of this type of equipment, so that the contract would be completed before the equipment was obsolescent.
The application was promptly investigated so that the laying could be planned outside of periods of high occupancy.
The reported operational outcome
The facility has modernized all of its access without significant input and without shifting its other work.
Centralized management of badges has simplified the day-to-day lives of teams and reduced key loss interventions.
The option to purchase at the end of the contract leaves the choice between keeping the facility and making it evolve to a more recent generation.
Applying the experience to a new project
Use this case to identify the equipment, timing and ownership questions relevant to your own investment. The historical scope and term are specific to the project described. For a new U.S. project, identify the contracting business, installation state, supplier quote and preferred use period; available structures require a separate assessment.
