The equipment need
A company specializing in electrification of construction equipment was looking for a financial partner to accompany the deployment of its commercial offer.
Its activity is based on two axes, the conversion of used thermal machines into electric powertrains and the sale of new electrified machines.
The additional cost of electric power generation comes largely from batteries, which penalized the purchase price displayed against equivalent thermal equipment.
The company wanted to dissociate the financing of the machine from that of the batteries, in order to develop independently of each other.
The financing structure was also intended to finance and then resume electrical equipment without their batteries, depending on the use encountered.

The support described in the project
We have selected a two-contract financing structure based on the actual life of each component.
The machine, whose value depreciates in a predictable way, was financed in leasing over 60 months with option of purchase at the end of the contract.
Batteries, reusable over several machine lives, have been the subject of a separate lease contract over a shorter period.
This dissociation allows the user to access the last generations of batteries without changing gear, or to renew his equipment by keeping his batteries.
The take-back value of the equipment was assessed without batteries, which makes the financing structure consistent with the economic model of the manufacturer.
A common schedule has been drawn up for the entire sales network, so that each estimate can be presented with a total monthly payment.

The company has a financing offer aligned with its interchangeable battery model, which was the blocking point for conventional solutions.
The cost of entry displayed to its customers is close to that of an equivalent thermal equipment, the battery share being borne by a separate rental payment.
Public works companies access low-emission equipment without freezing cash or hiring their bank credit facilities.
The financing structure secures the reuse of batteries over several cycles, a determining point for the economic equities of supply.
