The equipment need
The company had identified two second-hand machines from 2018 at a dealer: a wheeled excavator and a small additional excavator for narrow access.
The second-hand equipment was quickly negotiated and the company had to be able to confirm its purchase without waiting for several weeks for a respense of financing.
Mobilizing liquidity for these two acquisitions would have provided the flexibility needed to finance the existing yards.
The operator wanted to become the owner of the term machines, which had a long service life ahead of them.

The support described in the project
We mounted an equipment lease for both machines in a single contract, which avoided duplicating the record statement.
The seniority of the equipment has been documented by maintenance reports and metering hours, which are crucial to the agreement on the occasion.
The duration of 48 months was based on the estimated residual use time of the machines, without going further.
The end-of-contract option was set at a symbolic value so that the company would retain ownership of the equipment at maturity.
The reported operational outcome
Both machines were put into operation without significant initial disbursement, with cash remaining on the farm.
The company has expanded its range of interventions, with the small excavator opening up work sites in an otherwise inaccessible environment.
Applying the experience to a new project
Use this case to identify the equipment, timing and ownership questions relevant to your own investment. The historical scope and term are specific to the project described. For a new U.S. project, identify the contracting business, installation state, supplier quote and preferred use period; available structures require a separate assessment.
